When I'm like this

I always write poems when an emotion overcomes me
When feelings override my thinking
I am lost
There are no words to describe it, yet not enough in the dictionary
The caricature of the moment rises and then dissipates
Maybe a song will help
Maybe a song will soothe
Play me a soothing song
Play me anything but that!
Didn't I ask for a soothing...never mind
I am lost
There goes my emotions again
I sigh and lie back into my sorrow
I do not care to rhyme with my words
The poem that I coin cannot dispel these feelings
No matter how hard I try
I watch an emotional movie while eating comfort food
...which brings none at all
I feel worse
The tears pour down and then I wish I had just read a book
But only to be frustrated of my own pain
To disdain
To complain
Now I'm rhyming
No one listens, only chastens
Like the one who bore me
A woman baring a woman...
Who could figure that? My thinking's flat
I only want to listen to soothing music, while I am listening
to everything else but!
I want to be pretty, but I feel nothing like that
Cannot sleep when I am like this
Cannot sing when I'm like this
Cannot portray when I can't feel bliss
And writing this was such a waste
