Rose of Sharon Graphite Drawing of Jesus by blacknimproud Rose of Sharon Graphite Drawing of Jesus by blacknimproud
I'm definitely very proud of this art piece! I love trying new things all the time, and here I drew my first rose. Hope you all like what you see!

Tools:

Bristol Smooth 300 Paper
Staedtler Mars pencils 4H-6B
Nicole pro pencils 4B and 8B

Reference photo for Jesus from the movie still "Passion of the Christ" Ending Scene, Jesus is still in the Grave and the Stone is being rolled away...so not much lighting in this...I always try try to draw like how I see the picture :)

I love how much depth there is in this piece. The shading is amazing and the emotion is absolutely perfect. Everything about His face is perfect! :)

Oh Wow. The sutlety of the darks and whites is very good in this drawing. Almost makes me think its charcoal but its done in graphite. I love it.
